About Me

View More: http://kimdeloachphoto.pass.us/allumeheadshotsHi!  Thanks for taking a moment to stop in.  I am so glad you are here.  If you were stopping by my home, I would invite you in, shove the laundry in the mudroom, quickly wipe down the counters, and offer you some sweet tea or hot cocoa.  We might have freshly baked chocolate chip cookies because my husband says I make the best cookies around, but most likely we would have chips and salsa because I am a salty girl.

I would ask what you did last weekend, what the family is up to, and if there was anything I could pray for you for right then.  Because that is a huge part of my life…just connecting with those I meet.  And talking about the awesome love of God.

“We must go out into a desert of some kind (your backyard will do) and come into a personal experience of the awesome love of God.”
― Brennan ManningThe Ragamuffin Gospel: Good News for the Bedraggled, Beat-Up, and Burnt Out

Oh, that is how I feel sometimes…Bedraggled, Beat-Up, and Burnt-Out.

Whether it is in the backyard with my little ones, wondering if what I do matters, or if I am in the middle of a meeting, feeling so weary, I cannot handle one more thing.  If you feel the same way, I am right with you.

“Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another: “What! You too? I thought that no one but myself . . .”
— C.S. Lewis (The Four Loves)

If C.S.Lewis were alive, we would totally be friends!   I pray this space you have found is one of friendship, grace, and an acceptance of each other as we journey together learning about this awesome love of God.

God calls us to breathe life into others, and we need to be refreshed in order to do that. Won’t you join me in making this a place to encourage, refresh, and inspire those who we can with whispered words of comfort or shouts of thanksgiving?

And here are a few of the people that make me “bedraggled,” but I truly wouldn’t want it any other way!

I adore being a wife to my childhood sweetheart and mama to one princess and three princes. Our house may be chaotic at times, but we try to keep it full of love.

Join me in my story, share yours, and may we encourage one another!   XOXO
